Jewellery HAUL!

Can you say "hello student loan???" I sure can!

I found a beautiful website today called Cherryhumbug.com (my next door neighbour modelled for them and they are a local company)

So, after browsing the site I was amazed... Not only are their pieces GORGEOUS, they are ridiculously cheap!

I ended up buying:

Summer Garden Bracelet- £7. Link.

Colourful Peacock Necklace- £7. Link.

Retro Pearl Ladybird Earrings- £5. Link.

Shake Ya Tailfeather Necklace- £7. Link.

I also bought another necklace for a friend... I'm not going to blog about it just incase, but it is just as beautiful as the ones above!

Postage and Packing was super cheap, £2 for first class delivery or £3 for recorded (signed for) delivery. I decided to go for signed for- only £1 more, why not... That way I know they will be sent safely!

So, for 5 items I ended up paying £35 including delivery, and I am in LOVE with each and every item! They remind me of the vintage style necklaces Urban Outfitters sell, but at a fraction of the cost!

My personal favourite are the ladybird earrings!! I can't wait for them to arrive!

Have a lovely day!

Dating myself.

So, my date flopped. He cancelled because he was scared of getting attached to me, and then me having to go back to America.
Whatever. I don't need that in my life.

So, I decided to go on a little solo date. I don't need a man, no way.
Because I am sending back £30 of Missguided items, I decided to go on a little shopping spree. (Bargain hunting of course... and mainly for necessities)

I love, love, love shopping for toiletries. Boots is like a haven for me! After going from brunette to blonde last weekend...

Quite a transformation eh! I have decided to take more pride in my haircare. So, instead of going for cheap and cheerful shampoo and conditioner I decided to go for Aussie hair products.

I went for these particular types because obviously my hair is coloured... and while I have a lot of hair, it's very fine... so maybe I can add some volume into my life! At £3.99 a bottle, yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for and I love the brand.
I also bought some tea tree face scrub (boots own brand), because I have run out and I love this stuff!

I then headed to H&M, I wanted to get a plain black £3.99 skirt because they are so reliable, simple yet go with everything!

I also needed some flat black pumps, for every day wear, and I found some beautiful simple suede ones for £7.99, also in H&M.

But... now we come to my favourite part. My bargain of the day (and OMG is it a good one)

These beautiful hot pink cord shorts (The colour is somewhere between the two pictures... for some reason the lighting is terrible in this room) were £5... The last pair on the sale rack... my size....
I didn't even try them on (I try everything on) and when I got home, they fit like an absolute dream.
It's basically like God created these shorts and put them into H&M just for me.
I adore them, and I can see them looking beautiful in Disney (If I get the job... pleasepleasepleaseplease)

So, apart from food/other expenses, I ended up spending around £30, which was my budget for the day! I am sending back 2 items to Missguided, and using that money I ended up with 6 items today!

Also managed to get my macbook air sorted (the soundboard was broken, so I couldn't watch tv/films/listen to music) but a beautiful bearded apple man fixed it for me.

All in all, a very successful day... Thankyou dear date for cancelling, I had a rocking date all by myself!

Online shopping= 50% success rate!

So, after my post yesterday... my clothes arrived!
2 of the items just weren't right.
The pencil skirt was a really cheap material, and it showed off all of my least favourite wobbly bits.
And the cream/lace blouse was a really bad colour for my skin tone. I looked washed out and a bit ill!

But... I fell in love with the Aztec style shirt.
It's unlike anything else I own- I'm still not sure if the baggy look suits me, but it's really comfortable and I love it!

And.... the skinny fit jersey trousers are beaaaautiful. I wasn't too sure, but then I kept them on and they are the single most comfortable trousers I've ever worn. They look like skinny jeans, until you feel the material and find them to be jersey.

I tried to take a picture, but the lack of light/crap camera/black situation made it difficult to really see.

I don't think they are the most flattering trousers I own, purely because my legs are a big insecurity of mine and skinny fit means they are shown off... But the comfort alone makes them appeal, plus I think they look quite nice considering.

So yes, I shall be returning the other 2 items and getting £30 back is a nice little bonus.

All in all, not too shabby... I still don't know what to wear for my date, but we will work something out! I have enough clothes, that is for sure!

Big love,
Elle xx

Missguided Leap Day buys.

Another purchase post? So soon after buying Benefit Cosmetics yesterday? Yes bank balance, I'm afraid so.

After hearing such wonderful things about missguided.co.uk, I had a browse... and I was impressed!

Having lost nearly 2 stone, I wanted some new items to spruce up my wardrobe. Missguided have a free next day delivery for Leap day, and I have a date on Saturday... Coincidence? Obviously not... time to spend!

I've gone for items I wouldn't usually choose- so maybe I will hate them, maybe I'll love them... but that's what free returns are for!

Firstly, the Philla Tropical Print Pencil Skirt. I absolutely love pencil skirts but I've never owned one! I love the vibrant floral print, and I can see myself wearing it quite a lot actually. At £11.99 it is an absolute bargain!

Next, the Kyrah Low Rise Jersey Skinny Trousers. I have been looking for some black skinny fit trousers. I'm a bit wary of the size, as I'm between a 12 and a 14 (due to my lovely child bearing hips!). I'm also unsure how they will look as they are jersey instead of denim. So, we will see how they turn out! At £19.99 they are a pretty decent price, and they look lovely in the picture.
Now, the Rolla Sheer Sleeve Lace Blouse. This is a piece I am desperately hoping suits me. I've always wanted a sheer/cream/lace top and this ticks all three boxes. I can imagine this looking beautiful with the previously mentioned black skinny trousers, and it is a potential date outfit! I adore it, I just hope it looks as good on me! £21.99, the most expensive of my buys, but I couldn't resist.

Another potential date outfit, the Nargiz Floral Print Pocket Vest Top. Yet again, another risk. I've seen a lot of smaller girls wearing this style, I don't know how the baggy will look with my shape. I'm very much an hourglass figure and so I tend to show my curves rather than hide them, but paired with
skinny black trousers I think it will look lovely. £14.99, and beautiful.

With the free next day delivery and a 10% off code it came to £60. I don't know whether I will be keeping them all, hopefully so but we shall see.
Looking forward to blogging about the results!! Keep your eyes peeled!

Benefit cosmetics bargain hunting.

So, after months of being good and not spending too much money I decided to treat myself.

I have always been a huge fan of Benefit- the ingenious product packaging, beautiful and colourful cosmetics... they give off a really personal touch, but also make-up that actually works. I know it's expensive, but you really do get what you pay for!

I have been hearing really amazing things about the new benefit blush- Hervana, and so I decided to get some. Also, having used a friend's Erase Paste this weekend I wanted to indulge in that too.

So, I was ready to pay £45 for my products, when I came across a really good promotion from the US store. Spend $45 and get a free Mr Bright kit (which has small versions of High Beam, Posietint, Girl for Pearl and... wait for it... Erase Paste!!!!) So, I did some investigative cosmetic work!! I make it sound so professional! Basically... I just browsed!

I found that the US products work out to be cheaper ($28 for Hervana, which, when converted to GBP, is £6 cheaper), plus this amazing deal means that I could get another product and get Erase Paste (plus all those other goodies) for FREE!

So, I ended up going for Boi-ing- a concealer that a lot of people have recommended to me.

So, I ended up getting:
  • Hervana, a good karma face powder, full sized product for $28 (£17)
  • Boi-ing, industrial strength concealer, shade- light, full sized product for $19 (£11)
  • Mr Bright Kit: includes Girl meets Pearl, High Beam, Posietint & Erase Paste. Smaller sized products, usually worth $36 (£22) but free with the code LAUGHTER
  • Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow, brightening makeup, oil-free SPF 25, shade- ivory, sample size for free.
  • Stay don't Stray, a stay put primer for concealers & eyeshadows, sample size for free.

The shipping was more expensive (at $18 for international delivery) , and it will take 3 weeks longer to be delivered, but I ended up getting 2 full sized products, 4 smaller products and 2 free samples for only £40 ($65). Pretty good when I was ready to spend more than that on only 2 products! I don't even mind waiting for them to be delivered, as the bargain was just so worth it.

I think it's been a very positive day, and an absolute bargain find! I can't wait to use them and blog about the results!!!

I am so new to this site... that much is painfully clear.

Hello new blogging audience.
So, first post. Always a tricky one.
Hi. I'm Elle. I'm 21 and a drama student from London.
This is me, pulling an excitable yet not so attractive face. I tend to do that a lot.

I am usually found on tumblr, but I wanted somewhere new to vent in a more adult way.
I am addicted to shopping, far too often am I spending money... but I figure hey, at least if I'm blogging about it then I'm bringing happiness and fulfilment to the masses... which basically makes me a retail saint (so then I can't feel bad about buying it!)... There is logic in there somewhere, promise!

I have no idea how to use this site, so any friendly faces or pointers would be great. I hate my layout, so I shall be working on that!

I also have a really exciting bargain buy to post about, so I shall be uploading that shortly!

Have a lovely day,
Elle.
