Missguided Leap Day buys.

Another purchase post? So soon after buying Benefit Cosmetics yesterday? Yes bank balance, I'm afraid so.

After hearing such wonderful things about missguided.co.uk, I had a browse... and I was impressed!

Having lost nearly 2 stone, I wanted some new items to spruce up my wardrobe. Missguided have a free next day delivery for Leap day, and I have a date on Saturday... Coincidence? Obviously not... time to spend!

I've gone for items I wouldn't usually choose- so maybe I will hate them, maybe I'll love them... but that's what free returns are for!

Firstly, the Philla Tropical Print Pencil Skirt. I absolutely love pencil skirts but I've never owned one! I love the vibrant floral print, and I can see myself wearing it quite a lot actually. At £11.99 it is an absolute bargain!

Next, the Kyrah Low Rise Jersey Skinny Trousers. I have been looking for some black skinny fit trousers. I'm a bit wary of the size, as I'm between a 12 and a 14 (due to my lovely child bearing hips!). I'm also unsure how they will look as they are jersey instead of denim. So, we will see how they turn out! At £19.99 they are a pretty decent price, and they look lovely in the picture.
Now, the Rolla Sheer Sleeve Lace Blouse. This is a piece I am desperately hoping suits me. I've always wanted a sheer/cream/lace top and this ticks all three boxes. I can imagine this looking beautiful with the previously mentioned black skinny trousers, and it is a potential date outfit! I adore it, I just hope it looks as good on me! £21.99, the most expensive of my buys, but I couldn't resist.

Another potential date outfit, the Nargiz Floral Print Pocket Vest Top. Yet again, another risk. I've seen a lot of smaller girls wearing this style, I don't know how the baggy will look with my shape. I'm very much an hourglass figure and so I tend to show my curves rather than hide them, but paired with
skinny black trousers I think it will look lovely. £14.99, and beautiful.

With the free next day delivery and a 10% off code it came to £60. I don't know whether I will be keeping them all, hopefully so but we shall see.
Looking forward to blogging about the results!! Keep your eyes peeled!

Benefit cosmetics bargain hunting.

So, after months of being good and not spending too much money I decided to treat myself.

I have always been a huge fan of Benefit- the ingenious product packaging, beautiful and colourful cosmetics... they give off a really personal touch, but also make-up that actually works. I know it's expensive, but you really do get what you pay for!

I have been hearing really amazing things about the new benefit blush- Hervana, and so I decided to get some. Also, having used a friend's Erase Paste this weekend I wanted to indulge in that too.

So, I was ready to pay £45 for my products, when I came across a really good promotion from the US store. Spend $45 and get a free Mr Bright kit (which has small versions of High Beam, Posietint, Girl for Pearl and... wait for it... Erase Paste!!!!) So, I did some investigative cosmetic work!! I make it sound so professional! Basically... I just browsed!

I found that the US products work out to be cheaper ($28 for Hervana, which, when converted to GBP, is £6 cheaper), plus this amazing deal means that I could get another product and get Erase Paste (plus all those other goodies) for FREE!

So, I ended up going for Boi-ing- a concealer that a lot of people have recommended to me.

So, I ended up getting:
  • Hervana, a good karma face powder, full sized product for $28 (£17)
  • Boi-ing, industrial strength concealer, shade- light, full sized product for $19 (£11)
  • Mr Bright Kit: includes Girl meets Pearl, High Beam, Posietint & Erase Paste. Smaller sized products, usually worth $36 (£22) but free with the code LAUGHTER
  • Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow, brightening makeup, oil-free SPF 25, shade- ivory, sample size for free.
  • Stay don't Stray, a stay put primer for concealers & eyeshadows, sample size for free.

The shipping was more expensive (at $18 for international delivery) , and it will take 3 weeks longer to be delivered, but I ended up getting 2 full sized products, 4 smaller products and 2 free samples for only £40 ($65). Pretty good when I was ready to spend more than that on only 2 products! I don't even mind waiting for them to be delivered, as the bargain was just so worth it.

I think it's been a very positive day, and an absolute bargain find! I can't wait to use them and blog about the results!!!

I am so new to this site... that much is painfully clear.

Hello new blogging audience.
So, first post. Always a tricky one.
Hi. I'm Elle. I'm 21 and a drama student from London.
This is me, pulling an excitable yet not so attractive face. I tend to do that a lot.

I am usually found on tumblr, but I wanted somewhere new to vent in a more adult way.
I am addicted to shopping, far too often am I spending money... but I figure hey, at least if I'm blogging about it then I'm bringing happiness and fulfilment to the masses... which basically makes me a retail saint (so then I can't feel bad about buying it!)... There is logic in there somewhere, promise!

I have no idea how to use this site, so any friendly faces or pointers would be great. I hate my layout, so I shall be working on that!

I also have a really exciting bargain buy to post about, so I shall be uploading that shortly!

Have a lovely day,
Elle.
